Café Church

Café Church at The Well is part of our local church community and family life and is part of the ministry of St Michael & All Angels Church. We see the café as a form of hospitality to help grow community in Ingoldisthorpe and the surrounding area, as well as offering a relaxed and accessible form of church. Open to all, but also giving special focus to newcomers and those who want to discover more about the Christian faith, the Church is led by Rev Mark Capron and the café by Jane with support from the team.

Café Church is a fairly easy-going and informal service, starting with complimentary Barista drinks and taking place around the café tables. We start as we join together in worship, with contemporary or well-known songs and hymns, and a time of ‘praying the news’ using visual prayers. After the bible passage and theme for the day is briefly introduced there is then a time for open discussion and exploration of the theme in small groups (with no obligation to contribute – its fine to just listen!). At the same time there are various activities for the children to enjoy. The time then ends with a blessing.

Whether you are a long-time Christian or simply curious about exploring your faith, come along and join us as we discover more and worship God together. We look forward to seeing you!

Taking place in the Church Hall, Café Church at The Well happens each 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month at 4pm, with the café open for complimentary drinks from 3:30pm till 4pm.

In addition to the meetings at the Church Hall we also have weekly Bible Study Groups, meeting in people’s homes, to explore more of God and how to live as a follower of Jesus.
